Ripple’s XRP has become one of the top five cryptocurrencies by market cap for the first time amid bullish market sentiments. At $99 billion, XRP surpassed Binance’s BNB Coin BNB and its $94 billion market cap during a crypto market surge on Friday, Nov. 29. XRP is currently the fifth-largest cryptocurrency, trailing behind Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Tether (USDT), and Solana (SOL). Among the many factors potentially triggering its surge are Gary Gensler’s departure as Chairman of the US SEC and the increased rumors of the launch of Ripple’s stablecoin and XRP ETF news. It is currently trading at $1.74, up over 17% in the past 24 hours.
