SingularityNET (AGIX) has announced a series of significant advancements and milestones in its decentralized AI platform and broader ecosystem for August 2024, according to SingularityNET. Highlights include updates on the AGI Supercomputer project, a new collaboration with BNB Chain, and the publication of the first five OpenCog Hyperon RFPs on the Deep Funding Portal.
AGI Supercomputer Update
In late July, SingularityNET announced a $53 million investment to further the development of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and Artificial Superintelligence (ASI). The first phase will allocate half of this investment to create the world’s first modular supercomputer dedicated to decentralized AGI evolution and disruptive ASI research. This supercomputer will utilize Ecoblox’s ExaContainer modular data center solutions, incorporating advanced GPUs and CPUs from Nvidia, AMD, and Tenstorrent, and AI servers from ASUS and GIGABYTE. The first node of this supercomputer is expected to come online in September, with the first phase completion anticipated by the end of 2024 or early 2025.
Collaboration With BNB Chain
SingularityNET has announced a collaboration with BNB Chain to revolutionize the blockchain-based decentralized data economy. This partnership aims to integrate SingularityNET’s AI infrastructure with BNB Greenfield storage infrastructure and enhance the Internet of Knowledge initiative. Future plans include integrating the AI Platform with BNB Smart Chain to strengthen multi-chain capabilities, unlocking new opportunities for collaboration and innovation across multiple blockchain ecosystems.
OpenCog Hyperon RFPs
The Deep Funding team has launched a new decoupled process for Request For Proposals (RFPs), starting with the release of the first five OpenCog Hyperon RFPs. This initiative aims to streamline the RFP process, enabling SingularityNET and its partners to effectively outsource critical tasks to the community. These RFPs are designed to deliver concrete value to both the decentralized AI Platform and the Hyperon project, fostering meaningful contributions from the ASI community.
SingularityNET’s Technical Tuesdays
SingularityNET’s Technical Tuesdays series explores the development of the decentralized AI Platform and advances in the OpenCog Hyperon framework for AGI. In August, the team discussed scaling the MeTTa AGI language for cognitive computations in a decentralized fashion, highlighting different parallel approaches to MeTTa interpretation and compilation.
Ambassador Program
The SingularityNET Ambassador Program continues to strengthen the ecosystem by recognizing and rewarding valuable community contributions. In August, the Ambassadors focused on planning Workgroup budgets for Q4 and engaged in several public outreach initiatives, including participation in events in Buenos Aires and Seattle.
