The Ethereum Foundation (EF) has unveiled a major strategy shift aimed at scaling its ecosystem development.
The plan targets faster onboarding, broader adoption, and stronger infrastructure by expanding its support for developers, enterprises, and communities. As Ethereum usage spreads across industries, EF is refocusing on real-world utility and deeper network resilience.
The Foundation introduced four key pillars and a restructured organization to guide this vision forward. This marks a coordinated push to position Ethereum as the core infrastructure for global digital finance and Web3 development.
Ethereum Foundation Focuses on Ecosystem Acceleration
The Foundation will now work closely with developers, founders, app teams, and enterprises to expand Ethereum’s reach. According to its latest blog, EF has formed four dedicated teams for enterprise relations, developer growth, app research, and founder support.
Each team will provide tailored guidance and non-financial assistance. For example, developers will gain mentorship and tools, while enterprises will receive structured support for blockchain adoption. Veteran members such as Austin Griffith are also helping lead these new verticals.
Wu Blockchain noted this shift reflects EF’s intent to fast-track Ethereum’s integration with mainstream users and institutions.
EF is also boosting its communications, events, and automation to increase the Ethereum brand’s global visibility. The rebranded Digital Studio will handle visual content and storytelling, while targeted events will support specific community goals.

Other new teams include “Ethereum Everywhere,” which aims to scale regional hubs, and an EcoDev automation unit focusing on AI tools for internal operations. Meanwhile, Devcon and Devconnect events will continue under separate management.
This layer of amplification supports the core acceleration strategy, ensuring Ethereum’s message, opportunities, and tools reach wider audiences.
Financial and Operational Ecosystem Support
The Foundation’s grants program is also changing.
The Ecosystem Support Program (ESP) will now emphasize strategic applications and non-financial backing. Additional funding arms include Launchpad and Strategic Funding Initiatives, which help founders with governance, sustainability, and public goods support.
Alva, a Web3 app account, remarked that these changes align with growing institutional demand and could drive new use cases, governance models, and token flows.
EF’s long-term efforts will focus on removing global adoption barriers. These include policy coordination with governments, academic collaborations, and building ties with NGOs. The new Institutional and Academic Secretariats will lead these initiatives.
