On Saturday night, rapper Drake’s X account was reportedly hacked to promote a fraudulent Solana-based memecoin called “$ANITA,” inspired by his cartoon alter ego, Anita Max Wynn. The posts, falsely claiming a partnership with Stake, Drake’s crypto betting platform, reached over 39 million followers. The scam drove $5 million in trading volume before users realized its fraudulent nature. The posts were later removed. This incident follows a string of high-profile X account hacks targeting celebrities like Cardi B and Doja Cat, used to promote similar crypto scams.
