It notes that amidst a new market environment where the correlation between stock and bond returns is unstable and government bonds are less effective as a cushion against equity sell-offs, traditional assets like gold and emerging assets like Bitcoin are expected to bridge this gap. It also noted that the surge in cryptocurrency adoption post-election is attributed to investors’ increased likelihood of greater adoption due to President-elect Trump’s past support for cryptocurrencies.
